A strange little side quest
Monster Sketch belongs to a much longer story of play than a browser tab might suggest. Computer Space reached arcades in 1971 and became one of the earliest commercial electronic arcade games, even though its controls proved demanding for many players. The timeline takes another interesting turn: In 1958, Tennis for Two used an analog computer and an oscilloscope to turn simple physics into a playable tennis-like demonstration. That is the kind of background detail that makes another attempt at Monster Sketch feel a bit more connected to the history of play.
