A strange little side quest
One reason arcade history keeps producing good game ideas around Miami Shark is that its history is full of strange turns. Midway's Gun Fight from 1975 was the first arcade video game to use a microprocessor. The timeline takes another interesting turn: By 1987, fantasy role-playing had become a major computer-game direction, with Zelda, licensed Dungeons & Dragons games and other story-led adventures expanding the form. It is a good reminder that simple game mechanics can carry a surprising amount of history.
