A strange little side quest
Me Alone has plenty of company in a long tradition of players chasing timing, patterns and better decisions. Space Invaders arrived in 1978 and helped turn electronic games from an arcade curiosity into mainstream entertainment. It also connects to a different milestone: Nintendo's Donkey Kong arrived in 1981 and introduced the character first known as Jumpman, who later became Mario. That long chain of experiments is part of why action games still feels fresh when a game finds the right twist.
