A strange little side quest
Madness: Arena has plenty of company in a long tradition of players chasing timing, patterns and better decisions. Boxing was part of the ancient Olympic Games by 688 BC, long before gloves, weight classes, or timed rounds existed in anything like their modern form. The same trail leads to another fact: Computer Space reached arcades in 1971 and became one of the earliest commercial electronic arcade games, even though its controls proved demanding for many players. That gives Madness: Arena a little more company than it first appears to have.
