A strange little side quest
The mechanics around King Fortress have roots that stretch far beyond modern browsers. Modern chess traces back to the Indian game chaturanga, recorded around the sixth century and built around pieces representing parts of an army. And then there is this: Archery was already on the Olympic programme in 1900, boxing joined the modern Games in 1904, and basketball became a medal sport in 1936. The screen is modern; the urge to test skill, pattern and timing definitely is not.
