A strange little side quest
Zoom out from Kenneth Pool for a moment and the timeline gets surprisingly deep. By the 1890s, department stores and mail-order catalogs were selling mass-produced ready-to-wear clothes in standardized styles and price ranges. It also connects to a different milestone: Midway's Gun Fight from 1975 was the first arcade video game to use a microprocessor. It is a good reminder that simple game mechanics can carry a surprising amount of history.
