A strange little side quest
Grombi trivia break for Idle Farm: Harvest Empire: Nancy Johnson patented a hand-cranked ice-cream freezer in 1843 that used an inner churning chamber surrounded by ice. Another piece of context lands nicely beside it: M.U.L.E. arrived in 1983 with multiplayer competition built around gathering resources and keeping a colony alive, an early example of resource-driven strategy play. That is the kind of background detail that makes another attempt at Idle Farm: Harvest Empire feel a bit more connected to the history of play.
