A strange little side quest
Between one round of Hyper Market and the next, this is worth knowing: SimCity grew out of Will Wright's enjoyment of the map editor he had built for an earlier game; the act of shaping a city became the game itself. And then there is this: Midway's Gun Fight from 1975 was the first arcade video game to use a microprocessor. That long chain of experiments is part of why simulation games still feels fresh when a game finds the right twist.
