A strange little side quest
Hidden Object belongs to a much longer story of play than a browser tab might suggest. Arthur Wynne published a diamond-shaped 'Word-Cross' in the New York World on December 21, 1913; the name later shifted to 'Cross-Word' and then 'crossword'. The timeline takes another interesting turn: Space Invaders, released in 1978, helped push video games into mainstream popular culture. That is the kind of background detail that makes another attempt at Hidden Object feel a bit more connected to the history of play.
