World of Alice: Quantities

A strange little side quest

There is a neat bit of history hiding behind the kind of play you find in World of Alice: Quantities. The Oregon Trail began in 1971 when three student teachers created a computer simulation to help Minnesota schoolchildren learn American history. Another piece of context lands nicely beside it: The name Tetris combines a reference to four-square pieces with Pajitnov's interest in tennis. Not bad for a few facts hiding behind a Play button.
