A strange little side quest
There is a neat bit of history hiding behind the kind of play you find in Gumball: How to Draw Darwin. Reader Rabbit's 1986 arrival was part of a major expansion of educational computer software before the CD-ROM boom of the 1990s. And the history keeps stacking up: Spacewar! appeared on MIT's PDP-1 in 1962 and became one of the earliest influential computer games shared among programmers. That long chain of experiments is part of why learning games still feels fresh when a game finds the right twist.
