GROMBI FACT DROPREAL-WORLD TRIVIA
A strange little side quest
There is a neat bit of history hiding behind the kind of play you find in Grimace Dead Island Shooting. Space Invaders arrived in 1978 and helped turn electronic games from an arcade curiosity into mainstream entertainment. The same trail leads to another fact: In 1958, Tennis for Two used an analog computer and an oscilloscope to turn simple physics into a playable tennis-like demonstration. The screen is modern; the urge to test skill, pattern and timing definitely is not.
