A strange little side quest
Before the next round of Got Your Back!, here is a piece of the bigger picture. Atari's Gran Trak 10 from 1974 is recognized as the first arcade racing video game. That is only half the story. Pac-Man went on sale in 1980, and its creator Toru Iwatani famously linked the character's shape to a pizza with a slice missing. That long chain of experiments is part of why arcade history still feels fresh when a game finds the right twist.
