A strange little side quest
There is a neat bit of history hiding behind the kind of play you find in Geometry: Black Ball. Donkey Kong arrived in 1981 with a character called Jumpman, who would later become one of gaming's most recognizable figures: Mario. The same trail leads to another fact: Archery first appeared at the Olympic Games in 1900 and returned permanently to the programme in 1972 after a long absence. That gives Geometry: Black Ball a little more company than it first appears to have.
