A strange little side quest
There is a neat bit of history hiding behind the kind of play you find in Frozen Freecell. Space Invaders, released in 1978, helped push video games into mainstream popular culture. A second detail makes the picture even better: In 1958, Tennis for Two used an analog computer and an oscilloscope to turn simple physics into a playable tennis-like demonstration. That is the kind of background detail that makes another attempt at Frozen Freecell feel a bit more connected to the history of play.
