The fun part of looking behind Forest Queen is seeing how many older ideas are still alive in modern play. Midway's Gun Fight from 1975 was the first arcade video game to use a microprocessor. The surprising part is how quickly the next milestone followed. Pac-Man went on sale in 1980, and its creator Toru Iwatani famously linked the character's shape to a pizza with a slice missing. That gives Forest Queen a little more company than it first appears to have.
