Toward to Carrot

A strange little side quest

Put Toward to Carrot next to the history of arcade history and a few unexpected connections appear. Atari's Gran Trak 10 from 1974 is recognized as the first arcade racing video game. There is another connection worth keeping in the same mental pocket: Space Invaders, released in 1978, helped push video games into mainstream popular culture. The screen is modern; the urge to test skill, pattern and timing definitely is not.
