A strange little side quest
The mechanics around FNF: Skibidi Invasion have roots that stretch far beyond modern browsers. Spacewar! appeared on MIT's PDP-1 in 1962 and became one of the earliest influential computer games shared among programmers. A second detail makes the picture even better: Midway's Gun Fight from 1975 was the first arcade video game to use a microprocessor. That is the kind of background detail that makes another attempt at FNF: Skibidi Invasion feel a bit more connected to the history of play.
