A strange little side quest
Endless Tournament belongs to a much longer story of play than a browser tab might suggest. Doom changed game design and distribution in 1993 by separating its engine from content and spreading widely through shareware. It also connects to a different milestone: Midway's Gun Fight from 1975 was the first arcade video game to use a microprocessor. That gives Endless Tournament a little more company than it first appears to have.
