A strange little side quest
Put Double Sheep next to the history of platform games and a few unexpected connections appear. Donkey Kong arrived in 1981 with a character called Jumpman, who would later become one of gaming's most recognizable figures: Mario. The same trail leads to another fact: Archery first appeared at the Olympic Games in 1900 and returned permanently to the programme in 1972 after a long absence. The screen is modern; the urge to test skill, pattern and timing definitely is not.
