A strange little side quest
A little context makes Decor: My Kitchen more fun to place on the gaming map. Nancy Johnson patented a hand-cranked ice-cream freezer in 1843 that used an inner churning chamber surrounded by ice. There is another connection worth keeping in the same mental pocket: By the 1890s, department stores and mail-order catalogs were selling mass-produced ready-to-wear clothes in standardized styles and price ranges. That is the kind of background detail that makes another attempt at Decor: My Kitchen feel a bit more connected to the history of play.
