DD Take Off

A strange little side quest

Put DD Take Off next to the history of archery and a few unexpected connections appear. Archery first appeared at the Olympic Games in 1900 and returned permanently to the programme in 1972 after a long absence. The broader history adds one more wrinkle. Atari's Gran Trak 10 from 1974 is recognized as the first arcade racing video game. It is a good reminder that simple game mechanics can carry a surprising amount of history.
