A strange little side quest
The fun part of looking behind Crane It Up!! is seeing how many older ideas are still alive in modern play. Archery first appeared at the Olympic Games in 1900 and returned permanently to the programme in 1972 after a long absence. Another piece of context lands nicely beside it: In 1958, Tennis for Two used an analog computer and an oscilloscope to turn simple physics into a playable tennis-like demonstration. That gives Crane It Up!! a little more company than it first appears to have.
