A strange little side quest
The next time Egging On asks for one more try, remember that game ideas rarely appear from nowhere. Donkey Kong arrived in 1981 with a character called Jumpman, who would later become one of gaming's most recognizable figures: Mario. Another piece of context lands nicely beside it: Women competed in Olympic archery as early as 1904, making it one of the early Olympic sports to include women. That long chain of experiments is part of why platform games still feels fresh when a game finds the right twist.
