The next time Correct Football asks for one more try, remember that game ideas rarely appear from nowhere. The first penalty shoot-out in World Cup history came in the 1982 semi-final between West Germany and France. That old idea kept changing rather than disappearing. Basketball became an Olympic medal sport in 1936, while women’s basketball joined the Olympic programme in 1976. That gives Correct Football a little more company than it first appears to have.
