A strange little side quest
One reason sports history keeps producing good game ideas around Elf Meter is that its history is full of strange turns. Archery was already on the Olympic programme in 1900, boxing joined the modern Games in 1904, and basketball became a medal sport in 1936. The timeline takes another interesting turn: Computer Space reached arcades in 1971 and became one of the earliest commercial electronic arcade games, even though its controls proved demanding for many players.
