A strange little side quest
The next time Cops Evade asks for one more try, remember that game ideas rarely appear from nowhere. A major archery competition held at Finsbury in England in 1583 drew about 3,000 participants. And the history keeps stacking up: Spacewar! appeared on MIT's PDP-1 in 1962 and became one of the earliest influential computer games shared among programmers. That long chain of experiments is part of why archery still feels fresh when a game finds the right twist.
