A strange little side quest

A quick detour while Cold Station waits for your next move: Doom changed game design and distribution in 1993 by separating its engine from content and spreading widely through shareware. Another piece of context lands nicely beside it: Atari's Gran Trak 10 from 1974 is recognized as the first arcade racing video game. That gives Cold Station a little more company than it first appears to have.
