A strange little side quest
The rules may be simple on screen, but the backstory around Burger Zang is anything but tiny. Nancy Johnson patented a hand-cranked ice-cream freezer in 1843 that used an inner churning chamber surrounded by ice. There is another connection worth keeping in the same mental pocket: SimCity grew out of Will Wright's enjoyment of the map editor he had built for an earlier game; the act of shaping a city became the game itself. That long chain of experiments is part of why food history still feels fresh when a game finds the right twist.
