A strange little side quest
The next time Bridge Tactics asks for one more try, remember that game ideas rarely appear from nowhere. Archery first appeared at the Olympic Games in 1900 and returned permanently to the programme in 1972 after a long absence. There is another connection worth keeping in the same mental pocket: Alexey Pajitnov created Tetris in 1984 after drawing inspiration from pentomino puzzles, then simplified the idea around shapes made from four squares. That long chain of experiments is part of why archery still feels fresh when a game finds the right twist.
