A strange little side quest
Bomb It may feel immediate, but the ideas around arcade history have been evolving for a very long time. Midway's Gun Fight from 1975 was the first arcade video game to use a microprocessor. The timeline takes another interesting turn: Pac-Man went on sale in 1980, and its creator Toru Iwatani famously linked the character's shape to a pizza with a slice missing. That is the kind of background detail that makes another attempt at Bomb It feel a bit more connected to the history of play.
