A strange little side quest
Billiard Blitz Challenge may feel immediate, but the ideas around sports history have been evolving for a very long time. Archery was already on the Olympic programme in 1900, boxing joined the modern Games in 1904, and basketball became a medal sport in 1936. The broader history adds one more wrinkle. Pac-Man went on sale in 1980, and its creator Toru Iwatani famously linked the character's shape to a pizza with a slice missing. That gives Billiard Blitz Challenge a little more company than it first appears to have.
