A strange little side quest

There is a neat bit of history hiding behind the kind of play you find in Beautiful Bride. During much of the 19th century in the United States, visibly painted cosmetics became socially unacceptable even though beauty practices never disappeared. And then there is this: Pong was field-tested in California bars in 1972 and helped launch the modern arcade-game era. That gives Beautiful Bride a little more company than it first appears to have.
