A strange little side quest
There is a neat bit of history hiding behind the kind of play you find in Ball in Basket. Archery was already on the Olympic programme in 1900, boxing joined the modern Games in 1904, and basketball became a medal sport in 1936. And then there is this: Pac-Man went on sale in 1980, and its creator Toru Iwatani famously linked the character's shape to a pizza with a slice missing. That long chain of experiments is part of why sports history still feels fresh when a game finds the right twist.
