A strange little side quest
Put Trick Hoops Challenge next to the history of basketball and a few unexpected connections appear. Men's basketball became an Olympic medal sport in 1936, while women's basketball joined the Olympic programme in 1976. The same trail leads to another fact: Archery was already on the Olympic programme in 1900, boxing joined the modern Games in 1904, and basketball became a medal sport in 1936. The screen is modern; the urge to test skill, pattern and timing definitely is not.
