A strange little side quest
There is a neat bit of history hiding behind the kind of play you find in Back to School No Uniform Day. During much of the 19th century in the United States, visibly painted cosmetics became socially unacceptable even though beauty practices never disappeared. A second detail makes the picture even better: Pac-Man went on sale in 1980, and its creator Toru Iwatani famously linked the character's shape to a pizza with a slice missing. Not bad for a few facts hiding behind a Play button.
