A strange little side quest
Zoom out from Arrow Out for a moment and the timeline gets surprisingly deep. Women competed in Olympic archery as early as 1904, making it one of the early Olympic sports to include women. The broader history adds one more wrinkle. Alexey Pajitnov created Tetris in 1984 after drawing inspiration from pentomino puzzles, then simplified the idea around shapes made from four squares. That history is one reason familiar mechanics can still feel new when they are recombined well.
