A strange little side quest

The fun part of looking behind Arcade Golf is seeing how many older ideas are still alive in modern play. Midway's Gun Fight from 1975 was the first arcade video game to use a microprocessor. That old idea kept changing rather than disappearing. Archery was already on the Olympic programme in 1900, boxing joined the modern Games in 1904, and basketball became a medal sport in 1936. That gives Arcade Golf a little more company than it first appears to have.
