Here is a rabbit hole for the next loading screen in Air Traffic Chief: Atari's Gran Trak 10 from 1974 is recognized as the first arcade racing video game, decades before modern 3D racers. The broader history adds one more wrinkle. Spacewar! appeared on MIT's PDP-1 in 1962 and became one of the earliest influential computer games shared among programmers. That gives Air Traffic Chief a little more company than it first appears to have.
