A strange little side quest
Between one round of Wild Animal Defense and the next, this is worth knowing: Games resembling checkers were being played thousands of years ago; evidence of related games reaches back to around 1600 BC. The same trail leads to another fact: Computer Space reached arcades in 1971 and became one of the earliest commercial electronic arcade games, even though its controls proved demanding for many players. That gives Wild Animal Defense a little more company than it first appears to have.
