A strange little side quest
Warzone Mercenaries belongs to a much longer story of play than a browser tab might suggest. Gun Fight reached arcades in 1975 and became the first arcade video game to use a microprocessor. Another piece of context lands nicely beside it: Spacewar! appeared on MIT's PDP-1 in 1962 and became one of the earliest influential computer games shared among programmers. So a round of Warzone Mercenaries is not just a quick distraction; it is a tiny stop on a much longer action games timeline.
