A small trivia drop for Tree Hop: During much of the 19th century in the United States, visibly painted cosmetics became socially unacceptable even though beauty practices never disappeared. That old idea kept changing rather than disappearing. Archery first appeared at the Olympic Games in 1900 and returned permanently to the programme in 1972 after a long absence. That long chain of experiments is part of why fashion and style still feels fresh when a game finds the right twist.
