A strange little side quest
Zoom out from Titan: the way to the bottom for a moment and the timeline gets surprisingly deep. Our solar system formed about 4.6 billion years ago from a cloud of gas and dust collapsing under gravity. The same trail leads to another fact: The Oregon Trail mixed travel, supplies, risk and survival decisions decades before resource-management systems became common in mainstream games. That is the kind of background detail that makes another attempt at Titan: the way to the bottom feel a bit more connected to the history of play.
