Timekeepers is a nostalgic 2D platformer that takes players on the thrilling journey of a zookeeper traveling through space and time to rescue his beloved animals, who have been kidnapped by the eccentric Dr. Lunacy.
Zoom out from Timekeepers for a moment and the timeline gets surprisingly deep. Voyager 1 entered interstellar space in 2012, and Voyager 2 followed in 2018. The surprising part is how quickly the next milestone followed. Early computer role-playing games helped turn rules, inventories, exploration and character progression into systems that could support long-form digital adventures. That gives Timekeepers a little more company than it first appears to have.
