A strange little side quest
The fun part of looking behind The Secret Sea Collection is seeing how many older ideas are still alive in modern play. Basketball became an Olympic medal sport in 1936, while women’s basketball joined the Olympic programme in 1976. The surprising part is how quickly the next milestone followed. Computer Space reached arcades in 1971 and became one of the earliest commercial electronic arcade games, even though its controls proved demanding for many players.
