A strange little side quest
The Pyro Guy belongs to a much longer story of play than a browser tab might suggest. Gun Fight reached arcades in 1975 and became the first arcade video game to use a microprocessor. The broader history adds one more wrinkle. Early computer role-playing games helped turn rules, inventories, exploration and character progression into systems that could support long-form digital adventures. That is the kind of background detail that makes another attempt at The Pyro Guy feel a bit more connected to the history of play.
