A strange little side quest
There is a neat bit of history hiding behind the kind of play you find in The Last Spartan. Boxing entered the modern Olympic Games in 1904 at St. Louis. That is only half the story. In 1958, Tennis for Two used an analog computer and an oscilloscope to turn simple physics into a playable tennis-like demonstration. The details change, but the appeal of learning a system and trying again is remarkably persistent.
