The Last Room

A strange little side quest

The rules may be simple on screen, but the backstory around The Last Room is anything but tiny. Nintendo's Donkey Kong arrived in 1981 and introduced the character first known as Jumpman, who later became Mario. Another piece of context lands nicely beside it: Space Invaders, released in 1978, helped push video games into mainstream popular culture. That gives The Last Room a little more company than it first appears to have.
