A strange little side quest
Before the next round of The Apprentice, here is a piece of the bigger picture. A major archery competition held at Finsbury in England in 1583 drew about 3,000 participants. The broader history adds one more wrinkle. In 1958, Tennis for Two used an analog computer and an oscilloscope to turn simple physics into a playable tennis-like demonstration. Not bad for a few facts hiding behind a Play button.
