Sydney Shark

A strange little side quest

Sydney Shark belongs to a much longer story of play than a browser tab might suggest. Pong was field-tested in California bars in 1972 and helped launch the modern arcade-game era. And then there is this: Spacewar! appeared on MIT's PDP-1 in 1962 and became one of the earliest influential computer games shared among programmers. That gives Sydney Shark a little more company than it first appears to have.
